Built on location, not volume
XL Billboards Limited was founded in Ikeja in 2007 with a small set of portrait structures on Allen Avenue. Seventeen years later we operate more than 200 permitted locations, and the principle behind the business has not changed: a billboard is only worth what its position delivers.
That belief shapes how we work. We turn down sites that will not perform, we tell clients when a location they have asked for is not worth its rate, and we plan campaigns around where an audience actually travels rather than around what happens to be available. It is a slower way to grow inventory and a far better way to keep clients.
Our work spans the full out-of-home spectrum — portrait and unipole billboards, LED screens, mega roof-tops, gantries, wall drapes, transit and airport advertising, indoor branding, and an independent media buying desk that places campaigns across the whole Nigerian market, not only on our own structures.
We are an APCON member (059) and every structure we operate is LASAA-permitted and structurally certified. Compliance is not a selling point so much as a baseline, but in a market where sites are still removed mid-campaign for missing paperwork, it is worth stating plainly.

2011

Inventory passes 50 permitted sites as we expand onto the Ikorodu Road and Oshodi corridors.

A milestone reached with a nationwide FMCG rollout, and the year we bring printing and mounting fully in-house.

Digital expansion
